along roadsides
awaiting nomads
peoples offerings
a baby's hat
bolt nut copper wire
all so handy
compact steel mesh
just the size of
one slice of bread
toasted on pale fire
meal for the seeking nomad

don't touch a thing
pretend not to disturb
the cosmic order
molecules of rope gently lain upon
dark road shatterings
beyond understanding
keep moving
sketches of objects
burned onto memory

deserted leftover feelings
abandoned along highways
a toddler's cry in his seat
passengers agony next to the driver
time scratching an old face
gathering learning memorizing
they rest within

only once in a while
balance is broken
must take something
to feel and touch
these can be
a few washers, rings of metal
like ancient coins
their weight in my hand

Very interesting, flows well and has movement. Needs re-reading and thought!
